​Day 1: Saturday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Advanced Botox & Dermal Filler Lectures

​8:15 AM Breakfast & 12:30 PM Lunch provided

​Saturday we will be holding the lecture component of the program. The lectures will cover advanced Botulinum Toxin treatments, advanced dermal fillers, video demos and a business implementation presentation. Lectures will be followed by case presentations, video demos and interactive class treatment planning.

​Day 2: Sunday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Live Patient Hands-On Clinical Training in a Dental Practice 

7:45 AM Breakfast & 12:00 PM Lunch provided (working lunch)

Sunday will be the full-day hands-on clinical and this will be the only day we will be treating model patients. We will be staggering the arrival time of patients throughout the day, and each attending doctor will have an opportunity to treat 1 model patient for both Advanced Botox and Dermal Filler treatments (preferably the same patient to perform a comprehensive case). The entire process from patient consultation to treatment planning, injecting, and finishing with charting will be proctored from start to finish by one of our medical / dental instructors. When it's not your turn to inject, you are able to move freely throughout the other operatories, enabling you to benefit from observing numerous patient cases and learning various treatment techniques from all instructors.

**You should have already determined if you will be Bringing or Needing a model patient. If anything changes, please let us know within 2 weeks of the seminar**

If you Need a Patient: 
We will provide a volunteer model patient who qualifies for the advanced treatments and we will notify them on the time to arrive.​

If you are Bringing a Patient: 
If you have indicated that you are bringing a patient, the week of the course our program director will be sending you a separate email with assigned time for your patient to arrive. Please provide this information to your patient. Your patient should arrive at their assigned time to fill out consent forms, medical history forms, and have their before pictures taken. As this is a learning environment, we usually don't designate specific treatment times for patients, but please let us know of any time constraints and they will be accommodated as best as possible.  Even though treatments with botulinum toxin and dermal fillers are minimally invasive procedures, patients should know bruising and swelling is normal post-treatment. Model patients should not have any important work or personal events coming up within two weeks of treatment. We will provide you with these pre-treatment instructions with your patient's arrival time, but here is a printable copy: Pre-Treatment Instructions ​

Patient Selection

​When selecting your model patient for the advanced course, this is what you are looking for:

For Botulinum Toxin Clinical:

• Someone who is 40+ who wants overall facial contouring with Botulinum Toxin including treatment of DAO, neck, eyes, pebbled chin, commissures, gummy smiles and other areas.
• In addition to combination botulinum toxin/filler treatments to enhance treatments, participants are also going to also be doing therapeutic treatments with botulinum toxin including TMD, gummy smiles, tension headaches, facial migraines and learn where to inject for masseter hypertrophy treatment (patients for this can be any age, 18 and over).
• If model patients do not have certain therapeutic needs, instructors will still be teaching lecture and demonstrating injection points on how to provide those treatments.

​Dermal Filler Clinical:

• Someone who is preferably 40+ who wants overall facial volumizing including areas such as chin, cheeks, jaw, jowls, and  lip augmentation with combination treatment.
• Best candidates are hoping to restore facial volume lost through aging.  Depending on your experience level, you may want to review some of the areas covered in D1.
• If your patient has some of the problem areas mentioned above, they will more than likely also benefit from the areas covered in DentaSpa 1.
• During the clinical day, you can diagnose all areas for learning purposes and decide with the trainer what areas to treat for your optimal learning experience and benefit of the patient.

INCLUDED IN YOUR TUITION: 

• $300 in Botox units for you to use during the Sunday clinical (up to 50 units)

• A complete advanced clinical training manual with the printed lecture presentations
• 16 CE credits (AGD PACE / ADA CERP Recognized)
• A model patient if needed

​Partnering for Clinical

Because we are doing more advanced cases and various facial contouring treatments on patients, participants will be doing several botulinum toxin and dermal filler treatments that may require a considerable amount of product. For this reason, we give participants the option to work together with a partner so they can do all the procedures but share costs of filler products with a participant. If you haven't already determined this, please let us know if you would like to partner or work alone. ​

Additional Product Needs

Your botulinum toxin units for clinical use are provided, however you will need to purchase the dermal filler for your clinical training. Product brands / usage will be determined while you're working 1:1 with the instructor. Depending on what treatments you decide to provide and whether you work alone or with a partner, typically most participants use 2-4 syringes on their patient. You are not required to use any amount of syringes and can focus your clinical training to certain areas to limit expenditure. The goal is to teach you the techniques and create a comprehensive treatment plan for all the areas covered in the class. However, do prepare to use at least 2 syringes to provide some level of facial contour. Syringes vary in price but average is $300-400.  ​​

Staff Attendance

If you haven't already registered a team member and wish to bring someone to take the course with you, the 2-day staff fee is $625, including 16 CE and breakfast & lunch both days. Please let us know so we can make proper food and space arrangements.

Suggested Attire

Day 1 Lectures: Most wear business casual. 

Day 2 Clinical: We will be in a dental practice treating patients, so please bring your lab coats, scrubs, or whatever you will feel comfortable wearing to inject. Please wear comfortable shoes as you will be on your feet all day working and observing various cases in different operatories.
